We specialise in consecutive interpreting, where an interpreter interprets a chunk of speech after listening to what has been said. Consecutive is more time-consuming than simultaneous interpreting, but we believe it is the best way to ensure that there are no misunderstandings.
Receiving Japanese visitors?
Our head office is located close to Plymouth, so our major client base for interpreting is the West Country. Our interpreters are happy, however, to travel to any destination in Europe as long as you are willing to cover reasonable accommodation and travel costs.
Going to Japan ?
Through our wide network of contacts, we can put you in touch with a reliable interpreter based in Japan. Alternatively, you might like to take one of our UK-based interpreters with you. If you choose this option, our interpreter will spend time at your UK offices / factory before your trip and will become an integral part of your team, with a clear understanding of what you are hoping to achieve.
You will need to pay airfare and accommodation on top of a daily flat-rate fee, but having a Japanese speaker as part of your UK team will leave such a favourable impression with your Japanese colleagues that this option is sure to be worth the initial investment. And don't forget : your interpreter would also be able to act as your guide in Japan.
